Does NorCal Auto Fair sell the cars?
No. We're a display marketplace: sellers show their cars at our fair weekends and online, and buyers deal with sellers directly, in person. We are not a dealer or broker and are never a party to a sale.
What does it cost to sell?
A one-time $139 fee per car adds it to your fleet. After that, registering the car for fair weekends is free — every weekend, as many weekends as you want, until it sells. No commission, ever.
What does it cost to attend as a buyer?
Nothing. Come walk the lot.
Why do you show the full VIN publicly?
So buyers can run their own vehicle history reports (NMVTIS, Carfax, AutoCheck) before driving out. With salvage and rebuilt cars, informed buyers make faster, cleaner deals — that's good for sellers too.
Are salvage and rebuilt titles allowed?
They're the point. Clean, salvage, rebuilt, non-op, and parts-only vehicles are all welcome, and the title status is displayed prominently on every listing.
What happens if I register my car for a weekend and don't show up?
Withdraw before the cutoff (Friday 6pm before the weekend) and you're fine. Unexplained no-shows earn strikes: first a warning email, then a warned account status, then suspension pending review. Space at the fair is limited — register only what you'll bring.
How do payments between buyer and seller work?
That's entirely between you two — cash, cashier's check, whatever you agree on, handled in person at the fair. We recommend meeting the DMV paperwork requirements together. NorCal Auto Fair does not process or guarantee any sale.
Can I remove my car or my account?
Yes. You can remove listings any time from your dashboard, and delete your account entirely — which also removes your personal info and photos from the site.
